fever after single measles vaccine. how long does it last?

ds (3) had his single measles vaccination 8 days ago, and yesterday came out in a very high fever (40.2) which we are giving him calpol and nurofen for, he has been suffering all day, just wondering how long this will go on for, he is feeling so rough
