Hello I work in a hospital and get migraines most of the time When im working always at the front of my head, today I got abit dizzy at one point aswel, I don't know what to do I'm so scared about going doctors, I have been Ill past 3 weeks with a viral infection maybe longer and that's about when they started really and now and again before that. I don't know what else it could be sending my anxiety wild I keep getting scared I have a brain tumour or something, I'm worrying as I have really bad healthy anxiety. Can someone give me some positive stories or if you have the same etc? Thankyou

Just to add aswel paracetamol works to get rid of the headache

Try not to worry, easier said than done I know. I would think as you've had a virus that is why you're getting headaches. Symptoms often linger after a virus and tbh with brain tumours there are often more significant symptoms like behavioural changes and vision issues.

Just make sure you're hydrated, drink plenty. Eat well, lots of physical activity to ensure you sleep well but you must go to your gp if worried or if persists.

Migraines can be recurring and can appear at any stage of life. I get them at least three times a month but in the past it's been up to 75% of the month. I've had MRIs for this and all sorts of investigations - it's just that, though, migraines.

Like you, I was terrified. But the anxiety was making them worse. Once I knew it wasn't anything serious, they calmed down.

Often with brain tumours, headaches aren't even a symptom. But for sure go and get it checked. You'll feel better knowing that you've ruled out the thing that you are anxious about.

Also, I'm no expert, but I think if paracetamol works then it's unlikely to be a brain tumour.

Thanks for the replies, I think I have visual snow syndrome as I have all the symptoms and static in my vision noticed it about 3 years ago, never bothered me until i started getting worse with anxiety I know I shouldn't diagnose myself im scared to go doctor

You'll feel much better once you've seen a doctor and got proper medical advice. It could be migraine with aura, which would explain the visual disturbance. Also, hospitals usually have flourescent bright lights which make me dizzy (when I'm staying in a hospital I have to turn off all the lights) and set off migraines.

I used to get them when I was pregnant. It's always there the static thing I just choose to ignore it, had it over 3 years
