Anyone with experience of massive kidney stones/long term nephrostomy

I need talking down off of a ledge.
Had sudden excruciating left abdominal pain start Sunday afternoon and which was fobbed off at A&E as menstrual cramps.
No improvements with time and by Tuesday night I had a temperature of 40.5 and uncontrollable shaking. Back up to A&E and it was confirmed I have a pretty serious kidney infection - been her since.
Great I thought initially, drive some fluids and antibiotics through me, get me better and I’ll be on my merry way.
Unfortunately I’m still here and now have a nephrostomy tube (a bag draining from my kidney) and being told I have a stone which is too large to either pass or safely remove.
Once they get the infection under control they’ll be sending me home with the bag with the hope to be able to remove the stone in 3 months.

has anyone been through similar before? I’m only 29 with a 9 month old at home that needs looking after. I’m due back at work in a month and I’ve never felt so unwell or helpless - how can I do this for 3 months?!

Well I've had a kidney stone that was too large to pass so I had lithotripsy to shatter it. Was this not offered to you?
