paracetamol dosing

anyone get any idea whether it's safe to give paracetamol again after less than 4 hrs if you gave less than the full dose the first time ?

i gave DD who's 13 mths 5 ml about half an hour ago but had then run out so dh went to get some more. The bottle says she can have 1-2 x 5ml every 4-6 hours. She has a proper fever (38.8) so I'd like to give her a full does (i.e. another 5ml) but do I now have to wait 3.5 hours before I do this?

Some of you may recognise me as the dozy cow who overdosed dd with ibuprofen last night (not drastically it turned out) so I'm being v cautious today!

You can, but make sure you don't give her any more until the second 5 mls has had the full 4 hours to 'clear'.

remember no more that 4 doses in 24 hours

And make sure you don't give her more than 5 mls
