Itchy nipple!

Chuffinknackered · 12/01/2008 14:28

I have a massively itchy right nipple. I have a small white spot on it which has been there for ages. Breast is a bit sore too, and has been for a while. Any advice/clues?

is that thrush maybe?

yULeYSEES · 12/01/2008 14:32

you need to get it checked. could be nothing but I know it can be a sign of breast cancer. The white spot could be the cause but better be safe than sorry hun.

pagets disease

Just looked it up for you and yours doesn't sound like this does it?

Chuffinknackered · 13/01/2008 21:58

Doesn't sound like Paget's as it has never been red. Just a white spot. Noticed it about a few months ago. Bit scared now...seeing the doc early Feb about something else and will mention it then. At surgery often for anti-depressants etc as had a bad patch of insomnia last year and don't really want to start making an idiot of myself! Don't want to make him think I am a hypochondriac! Hope it is just thrush and can be treated quickly.
In a panic now....

just go to the docs chuffin, you're not a hypochondriac hun. Don't panic though it's probably nothing but better to go asap.

Get it checked by someone who knows their stuff.

Ulysees · 15/01/2008 08:47

How are you chuffin?

brimfull · 15/01/2008 08:57

I had an itchy nipple a few yrs ago.

Also a bit of a rash and pain as well.

Had mammogram and all was well.

Very worrying time though.Get it checked out,it's probably nothing but needs to be seen.

I often have an itchy nip - never thought anything of it but am worried now.... surely if it goes away and is intermittant it can't be anything serious though,...?

brimfull · 15/01/2008 09:02

I had a slight rash as well wisteria which was what the GP was worried about.
