I am 22 weeks preg and have just found out that my sore belly button is in fact an umbilical hernia. does anyone know of the risks associacted with being preg? doc and midwife both v unhelpful. I have to go back on monday morn to see if it needs surgery, doc mentioned general anesetic and risk of losing baby, which is just out of the question in my mind, i'd rather have the discomfort of a sore belly button! It isnt large, just very painful.

My Friend had this, I'll speak to her and get back later.
What I do know is she was supposed to get surgery after birth and infact has postponed til baby older. Her date for op was when her baby was 3 months.
Maybe you could wait til after to.

Hi had text from pal and she was told could not get op while pregnant and even now with her baby being nearly 6 months she's postponed til she's more ready.
So I'm sure you cld easily leave and just be careful.
