Lymph node swollen due to the infection. They seem really big in children & can take a couple of weeks to go down, even after the infection clears.
if you are worried do contact the Dr, that’s a lot of pox! I hope he isn’t feeling too poorly.

My DD had this it was a swollen lymph node, but she had to been seen in a&e by ent to rule out mastoiditis.

CottonSock · 25/04/2022 18:57

Be aware of mastoiditis. It's probably not, but if he has ear ache as well as the chicken pox it's worth keeping in mind. I cant see your pic very well.

DrBrennerFan · 25/04/2022 18:57

Id get that checked poor little mite he looks covered in them.

IStandWithMaya · 25/04/2022 19:36

I agree. He looks really unwell.

Larafromthe80s · 25/04/2022 23:28

Thanks all, I'd never ven eheard of mastoiditis. The lump isn't hot or red at all so after comparing google pics of that vs swollen lymphnode it definitely looks like a lymphnode.
I'll be keeping an eye on it though.
His chickenpox looks nasty but aside from a temperature you wouldnt even know, he's been an absolute trooper
