Showering after anal skin tag surgery?

Hi all,

I’ve just had a procedure to remove some excess anal skin that I got when I was constipated years ago from IBS and was wondering if anyone can advise me on how soon should I shower after surgery?

Im very nervous about keeping the wound clean and was going to just go in the shower and rinse it then pat dry either now or later tonight but not sure how to keep it clean with soaps etc in the future? And also whether I should be doing that this soon?

Hey, can I ask.. how did you go about getting this surgery? Was it on the NHS? I really need to contact my GP about the same issue but I’m super nervous.
