So i noticed this on my foot . I thought it was a scar from when I wore heels and it rubbed , but iv scanned the photo on skin vision app and it's came back high risk ! I'm so scared , I'm scared I have skin cancer . I'm convinced . It's got to be 😭 how would they even treat this it's not a mole so they can't exactly just take it off . I'm so scared it's spread etc , I had blood tests not long ago & all normal . Iv got health anxiety as it is 😭 I'm in such a mess , please can anyone give me advice or if anyone has been through similar. I do have a dr app tomorrow .

There isn't a thing anyone can do or say that'll be better than the doctor's advice tomorrow. Just be patient and wait for that, you're not going to die today.

@thisplaceisweird I know I just want people's advice or if anyone's been through the same x

My advice to you would be to stay off the internet and do something else. Nobody, but nobody, here will put your mind at rest. You have an appointment tomorrow so you haven't long to wait.

That bloody skinvision app. I too had a ‘mole’ that I suddenly noticed and worried about over several weeks. Didn’t want to bother doctor so scanned it into skinvision app and it came back high risk, see GP immediately. Went the next morning after a terrible night convinced I had cancer and was told it was just a scab and true enough within a week it had fallen off.

@Ourholiday

Yeah I used that app . Probably shouldn't off till i seen the drs . Now it's convinced me I have skin cancer . I guess it not accurate at all . I have seen some negative reviews after I did it and wish I hadn't . So scared now 😭 I'm sure it's a scar on my leg that I picked and picked or scratched after my night out , but minds in over drive now

I also used the skin vision app and was surprised to receive a high risk result about an insignificant mole. I e mailed them and they replied quite promptly saying that their panel of dermatologists had reviewed it and it didn’t need immediate attention. So the app can be wrong ! It’s scary to be told it’s high risk and the mind goes into overdrive ! It’s good that you have a GP appt tomorrow,
not long to wait and hopefully have your mind put at rest.

vb123x · 20/04/2022 16:45

@Sol24 it's weird because it takes less then 1 second to get a result . So not a actual person reviewed mine . I just paid £7 for one time thing

@Sol24 so was your mole okay ? And was the result wrong ?

vb123x · 20/04/2022 16:46

Yes, the mole is fine. I had screened several moles using the app and they all came back fine. Then this one came back as high risk and because I was sure that it was ok, I e mailed them for an explanation. They let me know that their panel of dermatologists had then looked at it and to just monitor it. I’ve scanned the mole several times since and it’s always been ok. The app isn’t always right and can’t take the place of an experienced Doctor. You’re doing the right thing by seeing your GP but hopefully all will be ok.

Sol24 · 20/04/2022 17:20

Sorry not sure what I’m doing wrong, sending a highlighted message !

vb123x · 21/04/2022 12:03

Thought I'd update . Been seen , dr not concerned at all . Just a scar that is purple . Again I'll never use that skin vision app . Definitely not reliable

Great news ! Am so pleased all went well.

I used that app on a mole that had darkened. Came back as no action needed but I was concerned so contacted the doctor and it turned out to be stage 1 melanoma!
