Low white blood cell count twice in a row?

the last 2 full blood counts I’ve had, my white blood cell count has been abnormal (low). Today shows results of 3.3.. can’t remember the previous results.

Phoned the GP and they said no further action needed but I’m a bit worried… is this normal for some people?

Mine is also low. When I googled it said due to possible anaemia (my iron is a little low), malnutrition (I am underweight) or some cancers but I had a print out and it did say the lab had run a blood film on my sample -presumably triggered by the low white cell count because everything else was normal- and the blood film was normal so assumed it’s not a sinister cause.

Mine is always low too. Has been for about 3 years! They keep checking it sporadically but have assumed anaemia is the main cause (I usually have low iron too).

Auto immune conditions run in my family and can cause low white blood counts too but so far I’ve not had any indication of any issues of that kind.

Ah, I’ve always suffered with anaemia so that makes sense!
