I've had this choked up feeling for weeks now, like I've got a lump of mucous sitting right at the back of my throat (sorry!). My nose is not stuffed, I just feel it there when I swallow. I keep taking pseudoephedrine which helps a little it's not going away. Does anyone know what this is? I've got a GP appointment but not til next week.

Are you preggers? I had this through my last pg. It was post nasal drip. But if no actual stuff, I don't know.

I think your GP will be able to help more.

no, def not preggers!!!! If it were post nasal drip what does one take?

I've had this for the last month or so. It started with a feeling like cotton wool in my throat. It's so annoying it's not as bad now but used to give me an irratating cough at night. Occasionally I will cough once an cough up a bit of green mucus(sorry) but i've not actually got a cough iyswim. I was pregnant though but gave birth 5 days ago and it's still there. My dd has the same cough in the night and so has ds I think it's just a persistant virus thing.

In fact we haven't even got coughs as such in the night it's more an annoying have to clear your throat sort of thing.

I've had this. It feels like a thick layer of snot on the back of my throat that I can't clear. My dd started coughing today and was sick twice. Neither of us are full of the cold, I just feel a bit run down. I wonder if it's some type of virus.

Get well soon.
