Sore tongue and clicking jaw

I have had a sore tongue for a few weeks. Went to the doctor and been given nystatin drops for possible thrush but she doesnt think it is. A steroid mouthwash, tablets dissolved in water. She said she didn't know what it was. I have teeth marks around my tongue and it's the very edge of the tongue that feels like its burning. Has anyone had anything similar? My jaw since yesterday has started clicking when I open my mouth to chew. Could this be from me constantly opening my mouth to check my tongue in the mirror? Will this go back to normal if I stop opening my mouth?
Any advice?

Teeth marks or cracked?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause tongue symptoms, it can also cause facial pain, especially on one side.
If you are stressed about your tongue that could lead to clenching which could lead to jaw pain, it could also cause you to bite in your sleep and mark your tongue.

Have you had any blood tests recently?

Yes I had my bloods done, all fine. Its more like dents that fit my teeth if that makes sense. I think the more I'm thinking about the more I'm trying to move my tongue away from my teeth and maybe I'm clenching my jaw like that. I still don't know why the tongue is so sore to start with though its burning

I had something similar with my tongue. SLS free toothpaste and gengigel mouth rinse cleared it up

Do you grind/clench your teeth? Teeth marks and clicky jaw suggest this

I get both of these. Does your tongue feel burnt? Mine is caused by stress/anxiety. Clenching my teeth in sleep and pressing tongue on roof of mouth when concentrating
