Hi, just been in hospital having had acute pancreatitis and emergency gallbladder removal. Anyone can give me any guidance on how long the swelling and pain from the pancreas might go on for? Added to that I got pneumonia because I couldn't breathe very well. Feel like I've been through a mangle

Worst pain I’ve ever had was pancreatitis- you have my sympathy. I was in terrible pain in hospital for about 6 days then it settled after about 3/4 more days. So about 10 in total. Since removal I’ve been fantastic so removal well worth it!

I was completely better after about 2 weeks but felt better bit by bit every day after the surgery. The tiredness lasted a good week and a bit.

Hi guys, I 30 and I was diagnosed with pancreatitis aged 13 and underwent a major operation to save my pancreas. Since then I have not had any major pains I deal with it by watching what I eat and doing exercise however iv been finding it difficult trying to get pregnant, 4 years now and 2 failed ivf attempts. Couldn’t my illness be linked to the reason I am struggling to conceive??
