What time of day do you take your hayfever once a day medicine?

I have Fexofenadine. Waking up v puffy and moment. Maybe better for me to take it before bed than in the morning. What do others do?

Hiya 🖐I'm on fexofenadine too and take it at bedtime, just because that's when I take my other meds.

Both. But I'm on fexofenadine and Zyrtec max dose so 2 in the morning, 2 in the evening!

I take the over the counter stuff and take it at night. I read something that said the once a day tablets can take a few hours to reach maximum efficacy so it's better to take them at night so it is full effectiveness when you wake up.

I take loratadine at bedtime.
Even though fexofenadine, loratadine and cetirizine are "non-drowsy" I still work on the assumption that some will cross the blood-brain barrier so it's better not to take them when I need to be alert.

Oh can I take something else with it to make it more effective @MrOllivander? It’s just taking the edge off really

I take Zyrtec with it Mine is off license prescribing I think but I take 4 x 10mg Zyrtec daily 2 x fexofenadine 180mg daily And sometimes another 2 fexofenadine

I take mine at bedtime, with my other meds.

If I have to add in another I tend to take it mid morning/lunchtimeish

Like many others here, I take it at least twice a day!

My son is on OD and he has it at bedtime, as he wakes at about 4am sneezing and snuffly otherwise.

Thank you. Will experiment with taking at bedtime and see whether I need to add in another if that doesn’t help

Usually around 9am.... that gets me till the mid evening and by then I’m almost going to bed.
