II don't know how I've done it - I don't do any heavy lifting at work - DH thinks its becasue I'm standing all day and twisting and turning.
Anyway it got quite sore last night, ahd ice and heat on it whilst sitting watching TV. I actually lay on the floor at one point.
When i woke this morning it was fine, now I've been moving around it's getting really sore again. I am working at 11, so need some advice how to ease the pain while at work

Hi, I have had a really sore neck since Saturday and the pain is bad! I have an appt at the docs today but so far I have been taking Ibuprofen (sp?) and applying an Ibuprofen gel to the affected area and it has helped.

Which part of the back is it? Can you take ibuprofen? If you can then I'd try taking it regularly along with paracetemol. I also find those heat pads you stick under your clothes comforting (even if they don't help greatly)
