Dp is an osteopath and has never bruised me, did you tell your osteopath about the bruising the last time?

thelittleElf · 07/01/2008 22:21

Yes i did as it was still very visable from last week. I think the massage they did beforehand was maybe a bit too rough? It honestly felt like she had concrete thumbs .
Last time i had trouble sitting down for a few days!!!

Oh gosh I don't know what to say, dp is out tonight, I'll ask him when he comes in.

Thank you. It's the first time i've had something like this done and i really don't want it to put me off.
I mananged to twist my pelvis and put my back out on Christmas eve, so been trying to sort it out, but now i have to be honest, i'm almost reluctant to go back again.
Would you be able to ask him if this is normal or should i have a word with them about it

Tia

Dp says that it is probably the Piriformis muscle which is deep muscle in your buttocks that turns you leg outwards and can cause pelvic instability. Because the muscle is deep quite a lot of pressure is needed to get through to it iyswim. If it causes you too much discomfort do mention that it is causing you concern as they may be able to release it in another more gentle way but it will probably take longer/more sessions.

Oh ok, thanks for asking him.
I'll definatly mention it to them the next time i go then. Although i did do so today, but she still used alot of pressure. I do bruise easily, but never dreamt it would be quite like this .
Many thanks again!
