Hi
Have had coccydnia after lifting heavy item after childbirth for 3 years and tried various treatments. Pain has lessened but still there daily and am uncomfortable sitting.
Am getting on a bit and would like another baby but am I mad to try while still suffering from the first birth?
Did anyone's pain improve during pregnancy and did it re damage during birth again?
Thanks

I have had bad chronic tailbone pain since having my baby 2 years ago (hard labour and 4 hours of pushing). Have tried EVERYTHING, pillows, cortisone shots (helped a little), physical therapy, acupuncture, yoga etc. My orthopedic doctor said I may have to learn to live with the pain but having a second pregnancy might help for awhile, because "everything loosens during pregnancy" so it might help with the scar tissue. Still looking for answers and am curious who else has experienced this.
Thanks

Have just been diagnosed with this too, in conjunction with lower back pain relating to SPD in pregnancy. The physio has suggested regular physio exercises to try and help the lower back pain, and this should also help the coccydinia.
The most annoying thing is not being able to sleep on my back at night! Has anyone any suggestions for this, certain types of mattress etc?
