Diareah, nausea and awful body pains?

So I was fine yesterday then woke up this morning feeling a bit dizzy and nauseous then within a couple of hours I was bedbound feeling like I’d been hit by a bus. All of my ribs, joints and bones are so sore. I’ve got stools like water/sludge and have not got to the loo in time twice today which I’ve never had before.

I’ve had bile come up a couple of times, pure acid.

I had scampi at Table table yesterday at 5pm and was fine at bedtime, I was at the hospital on weds but kept my mask on.

The idea of food makes me feel so ill. I’ve just never felt so sore with food poisoning etc before.

Any ideas what this is likely to be? Been in bed all day and feel super weak

I'd do a Covid test.

Cocothebear · 01/04/2022 18:35

I did one earlier and it came out negative. I’ve had Covid and this feels more like some sort of stomach thing

@springtimeishereagain

I'd do a Covid test.
This.

I've had Covid recently and the first symptoms were stomach cramps and vomiting. Followed by temperature, headache and aching joints.

I also tested negative for the first 3 days of symptoms on LFTs, but tested positive on a PCR on Day 3.

I had these stomach symptoms Monday then tested positive for covid on Thursday.

I felt like this a couple of weeks ago whilst on holiday. Fortunately it only lasted a couple of days.

Mindymomo · 02/04/2022 07:16

I’ve had food poisoning and it’s awful, bad diarrhoea for 2 days, had to wear pads as I couldn’t make it to toilet quickly enough. We’ve all just had covid and 3 out of 4, one of our first symptoms was nausea and vomiting, but no diarrhoea. If you have any imodium, that helps with diarrhoea quickly.

PragmaticWench · 02/04/2022 09:42

Sounds exactly how I was with covid last week.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 02/04/2022 09:43

oh i've got similar
but i started anti biotics yesterday and so blamed then

Thinkingblonde · 02/04/2022 09:47

If you think it’s food poisoning don’t take Imodium, Dioralyte is better, it replaces the salts lost thorough D&V.

Samarie123 · 02/04/2022 10:47

This sounds exactly like Norovirus.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 02/04/2022 16:48

Second vote for Norovirus. It’s hideous, flu symptoms and D+ V like I’ve never know .

There has been outbreaks
