I gather there is a lot of it going around, but my 18 month DS has it, what is good to use? I have calamine lotion but have ust read it doesn't help. Someone suggested Bicarb, is this OK for a little one? ANd how much do you use?
I feel itchy just thikning about it.

This is what I've garnered from Mumsnet, although it was too late for my DCs who'd already had it and been very itchy & cross...!

Piriton allergy syrup can help with the itching - check it's OK for his age though.

Calamine cream is better than calamine lotion, and not nearly as cold!

Bicarb in the bath also stops itching (can't remember how much though).

And Calpol, etc, if there's any fever.

The good news is that it really doesn't last that long. He'll be right as rain before the end of the week.
