I had endometriosis cysts removed just under 6 years ago. Id had them for 5 years cos dizzy gp told me they was fatty tissue from my c section!

Only when the pain was so horrendous and i was suicidal with it did i get put on pethedine had an mri and finally the operation itself.

The pain coming round from the op was like nothing i have every experienced and the aneathetist ( whoever he was i love him forever!) gave me five shots of pethedine till i feel back asleep.

Next thing i hear the surgeon and nurse talking he ask how im doing

Nurse: she is settled now but was in extreme pain in recovery.

surgeon: im not surprised with waht i just removed from her.

Me WTF! pass out again.

next day i spoke to the surgeon at what he took out of me. ( was originally told cysts measured 3cm by 2cm was 2 of them).

He said they were both bigger than his fist and had bllod vessels coming out of them the size of drain pipes! He said they had been "feeding" off me.

Anyway i had my a c section 18 months ago and have been in pain every since which is slowly getting worse. It feels like that have left a scalpel in my scarring.

I have gp's appointment tomorrow. but i am so scared for 1 that the cysts are back and 2 they will make me wait years to remove them again.

you poor poor thing, sounds like you've really been through it. When you go to your gp you must DEMAND to be taken seriously- push for a scan. Tell them how depressed the pain is making you, how you cant cope with looking after a pain and being in such pain. From my own personal experience gps like to take the easy route- prefer to pack you off home and tell you to come back if the pain gets worse, or prescribe you pills. Dont leave the surgery til they've referred you.

I agree with daisym as I was in the same situation as you last year. Dont leave the surgery....
Sending you a big hug.xx

Thankyou. x

Appointment at 10 so fingers crossed will get somewhere. Am seeing a new female gp so hoping she will be sympathetic and get things moving.
