I just cant bare the thought of it after what weve all been through the last 6mths. It will be rife in my area no doubt being near chase farm hospital.

I dont seem to be suffering right now and she did say Its possible I dont even have asthma. Its just a follow up from previous long term respirotry illness.

I would go if you've been having problems even if you feel well.

Go! Wash hands well!
Your poor asthma nurse has to be there whether she likes it or not.

No, I'm asthmatic as well and if you're OK I'd stay away from the surgery right now too. Since DD started school in September we have had one thing after another, I wouldn't go near any surgeries at the moment if possible!! Go back in a month or so...

but if you do have asthma and it is not controlled then you really need to get it sorted asap. I have asthma and im on preventers etc. You never know when an asthma attack will strike. Plus, you could be waiting ages for another appointment.

I get your point scarlett and I do think about those things , but she may very well have not had the problems weve had in our family since the spring of last year.

I was on preventers , but she did say (as have several doctors) that its more unlikely I dont have asthma.

Norovirus is very over-hyped by the press, happens every year, just nothing better to make a fuss about at the moment it seems . You are probably just as likely to get it at a shopping centre. They are extra careful at sugeries to protect those who are already immunocompromised.

If you're not happy going and it is going to make you panic for a while afterwards then cancel but I personally would have cancelled earlier than on the day as it is now too late for your appointment to be reallocated to someone else who really wants one ASAP. Sorry, not meant to flame you, just giving an opinion. I can understand your worry, my DCs have been ill with one thing after another since November, not fun is it .

surgeries not sugeries (new year resolution to proof read before posting seems to have gone out of the window already )

melsy · 07/01/2008 11:59
