Im in so much pain. Not sure if broken or sprained

Just looking for some support as its 3.40am and im in too much pain to get back to sleep 😭 last night I slipped in my house and twisted my left ankle . I can't weight bare its immediately gone swollen it's so so painful. I even hurt the right one also and though that's tender and bruised I can weight bear on it .
I have a history of ankles braking and them twisting in so I went to out of hours as our village hospital was shut. A lovely doctor reckons its ligaments again but with the history would like an xray but would have to go back at 8am to the hospital. That's fine and what we're doing this morning i got given crutches to use which are really hurting my chest now though.

I have hardly slept its so sore .
Im proper panicking about how were going to cope getting the 2 young kids to school and back my mum is taking them in the morning and dads taking me up to the hospital again but just bit worried after that. Next week is there last week anyway and then the holidays how on earth am I going to manage. Sorry just having an absolute meltdown right now 😭

Has anyone gone through this with kids. Last times ive hurt it ive never had the kids so it was easier to cope

Years ago I broke my arm very badly so for a few days I could hardly move around at all and H was working abroad the DC were 5 and 7 - the school made arrangements to help with staff picking up and dropping off. Then neighbours and other parents helped a few days - I know your situation is even more difficult with leg injury but I reckon school will offer some support? Hope you can get it properly seen to tomorrow it sounds like crap 😬

Thanks for replying, that is a good idea I'll speak to the school and see what they can do if anything. My husband works away aswel that his back on Friday evening till Mondays so thats not too bad just panicking about everything right now its just took me such effort to even get to the loo

Thank you ive fractured it its called an undisplaced oblique fracture of the distal fibula. now put in boot and resting already so annoyed though
