Anyone happen to know how much a private scan costs?

I'm thinking about booking an ultrasound scan privately. It's just to see/rule out fibroids as I'm suffering with heavy period bleeding and clots and I'd like to known why. Probably menopause

Anyway I'm getting nowhere quickly with my GP and decided to just book a private scan if it's not too extortionate

I've made an enquiry so waiting to hear but wanted to know if anyone had an idea? Thanks

A private gynaecological scan and check up with a consultant would be around 200-300 in the Midlands here. It's more expensive than a pregnancy scan in my experience.

You should be seen as a 2WW with unexpected bleeding.

Not quite the same but similar circumstances. Was waiting forever for a 2-week breast referral and ended up going private.

You usually pay for the consultant (£250 for me - eastern England) plus the scan separately (£299 one breast, £449 both). Not sure how the scan costs change for the type of ultrasound you need. I used Spire Hospital which were really helpful and upfront with costs.

I am going private with an insurance claim. I need an ultra sound scan on my Achilles’ tendon and was quoted £7-800. Hope this helps x
