Reoccurring puss filled spot on nipple

Hello! I had my nipples pierced for 8 or 9 years, towards the end I started to develop sores/blood filled blisters around the holes of the piercings and these would heal then return. Around Christmas I decided to remove them and let them heal. I still have slight redness where the sores were but no longer painful. I am however concerned that on my actual nipple just to the side of the opening I have this reoccurring yellow pimple which will burst, scab over, heal entirely and then return a couple of weeks later. Any ideas of what could help before I ask the gp?

I had the same issue and bathed in boiled salt water 3 times a day for a couple of weeks and no issues since

I have this same issue on one nipple! Also used to have piercings pre-DC and breastfeeding.

I bathe in salt water, drain the pus and just use salt water for a few days and it goes away - but then comes back a few weeks later!

Interested to hear what others have to say.
