I’ve had a sore throat for nearly two weeks. Instead of being in the tonsil area which where I usually get a sore throat, it’s my whole voice box that is very sore when I swallow. I’ve never had a sore throat so low down before. If I touch my neck in this area it feels tender. I have no other symptoms at all. No cough, lost voice, fever, no unusual tiredness. I thought it was clearing up yesterday as I didn’t feel it much but suddenly this afternoon it’s come back with a vengeance and I’m wincing when I swallow. Strepsils etc do absolutely nothing. Does this sound like a normal viral infection or do I need the GP?
