On average, how long does a newborn's cold last for?

My Daughter is 2 weeks old, we have all been poorly with colds and of course she has caught it, been sniffly for a few days, she isn't being sick and doesn't cry out like she is in any pain, I'm just trying to make her as comfortable as she can be til it passes, but how long does a cold in newborns normally last?

Thanks for looking xx

My 14 week old had practically a cold a week in her first 6 weeks of life, so you have my sympathies as it is such a pain. If I remember correctly it just lasted as long as a cold in anyone else. Just make sure she is eating and drinking enough.

thanks for the reply rubles, wow your lo has certainly been through the mill, bless, it's not nice when they are all sniffly and there's not much you can do about it.

My daughter is taking her bottles as usual and is fed on demand, she is putting weight on so just have to wait for things to take their course.

You would think I would know all this as I have a 4 year old, but he was a summer baby and was about 6 months old before he caught his first cold

xx
