You were asking about DDs plaster (lovely picture of her old one on profile, I'll try and pin her down to take one of the new one in a minute), well she fractured her leg on the Saturday, which was when A&E put on a plaster like yours (proper plaster around the back and soft on top) but we were given an appointment for the fracture clinic for Monday. Plaster was awful, she was still in pain - woke up every couple of hours through the night and I had to massage the top of her knee until she fell asleep again, even maxed out on calpol and nurophen and even during the day she'd just suddenly start crying because she was so uncomfortable. By Sunday she'd managed to break the cast at her ankle and knee by trying to move on it.
In comparison the cast they put on on Monday was fab. It's heavy, but nowhere near as bad as the first and they set it with her leg slightly bent which means she can sit comfortably. Within 48 hours of having it on she'd figured out how to walk and run with it, plus she's pretty much pain free now as the cast goes all the way around and supports her leg properly. She managed to climb up the bunkbed ladder the other day.......
