Baby cold?

My 7 week old has caught my cold - watery eyes, snotty nose, sneezing and cough. Earlier she coughed hard as though gagging. Should I take her to the doctor urgently or not? Our surgery is closed this pm. Thanks!

i took my baby to the emergency doctor at 3 weeks because he kept being sick.. The doctor laughed at me and said you can't possibly expect me to do anything at three weeks old!

Have a drink! He told me to relax, have a couple of glasses of wine, breast feed and enjoy the peace that followed.

If she is feeding ok and not feverish then there is little to do anyway. Make sure her nose is clear before feeding and put rolled towels under cot mattress so she sleeps on an incline.
