Pain on right side of stomach, please help!

Hi,

For the last week, I've been getting pain on the right side of stomach.
It seems to move around from the lower belly, side of belly/flank pain, under boob and lower back. It literally just moved around 😟

It's a mild pain so not rolling on the floor and I have been to the GP and had some blood in my urine so was given antibiotic to treat kidney infection which I've been taking for the last day. But she seemed unsure what it could be. She was the second doctor I've seen.
The appendicitis checks where they press around the area were done too..

Apart from the mild pain, no fever or anything unusual but I'm a bit worried as I've had this pain over a week now :(
I've had bloods done - liver function, urea and electrolytes and FBC. All normal apart from my Neutrophil count which has always been 1.4 so the FBC was marked as "satisfactory"
I'm worried that it's something more than kidney infection and Google has made my anxiety worst!

Ultrasound booked for a couple of weeks!

Has anyone else had this? Does it sound like kidney infection and if not, What could it be? And if anyone had kidney infection, what were your symptoms and how long of taking antibiotics should I start seeing improvements if it is that?

Do ever get pain in your shoulder?

Maybe gallstones?

mylipsarechapman · 02/03/2022 00:07

Yes. I've had this for over 2 years and is usually mild but has some periods where it's more severe. Initially thought it was gall bladder but have had 3 ultrasounds saying it's not. All bloods are normal and had mri as had a late period and that too was fine except they found I have adenmyosis (sp?) but without the symptoms. Also had bone scan which again was normal. So by eliminating anything life threatening they said I probably have costochondritis which I sometimes doubt as it's been so long and also when the pain increases which gets me more anxious and over thinking.

I've self diagnosed from kidney stones to breast cancer but ultimately feel I have to live with it as I've exhausted every avenue that relates to it. Could even be related to menopause I guess. The pain literally moves round from the front to the back on the upper abdomen. Sometimes feels like a stitch and sometimes feels like a stabbing pain. I try to be more mindful with my posture and avoid lifting heavy stuff. Sorry I'm not any help with advice but hopefully it helps that you're not alone. If you ever get to the bottom of it, it would be interesting to know what it is. Good luck OP Wink

Gallstones or appendicitis with revered pain or kidney stones.
