When will period return?

I BF DD for just over one year and wasn't surprised that my period never returned during that time.
However, I stopped BF completely more than a month ago and since then I have felt 'stirrings' in that area, there's still no sign of its return.

For those of you whose periods stopped completely until after you finished BF, how long did it take to return after you quit?

I bf for a year with both my children and my period did not come back after my first dd as I was pregnant again and second time it came back after 2 months.
