I have atrial fibrillation that is well controlled with Beta blockers. Anyway in the middle of tests for the above I was diagnosed with H Pylori, ugh... no symptoms but the treatment was awful!

So I had to take anticoagulants for the Afib as is recommended to prevent stroke, I had Eliquis. Unfortunately I got a massive GI haemorrhage they think because of the stomach issues, and was quite poorly. OK now though after many units of blood and iron infusion.

So.... since I cannot take anti coags anymore I have to have the above procedure. It blocks off the area of the heart where Afib can cause pooling of blood and clots may form leading to stroke. Sounds grim.

I have read up about it, and will have it done, so I wondered if anyone has had it done or knows anyone who had it, just to hear of the experience. Thanks, and I am aware that this is not a very common procedure, so I will not be surprised if no one has heard of it or had it done either!
