Name changed cos of embarrassment. Today I passed an enormous clot/lump of tissue vaginally. I am on my period but definitely not pregant and haven't been for some time - last one being a miscarriage in the summer...
The clot was not the usual kind you pass during period or after childbirth it was greyish and had the texture of a piece of mushroom (yuk gross sorry).

Please advise.

could be part of a heavy period.. did you keep what you passed? are you in any pain? might be worth a call to doctors, passing lumps and clots is not normal.

no i did consider keeping it but got too grossed out...

I have had 3 children and alot of mc's too and I have not seen something like this before. I will talk to my gp asap but just wanted to know what it could be. It would not lose it's shape like a clot it was more like meat..[i feel so yukky saying that - sorry]

no need to apologise, it must be terribly worrying. i hope you get some answers from your GP... is there any pain or odour? could you have an infection of any sort? do you feel poorly? if not, might just be one of those things

how distressing
