Swollen neck and at bottom of the face round to the ears.

Groin very sensitive.

Been sick x3

watery eyes.

very tired.

DH woke up like this today, he very rarely is ill, I am panicking slightly as I had Pinkchampagnes DSs last night and worried that they will get ill. (plus I do not like sickness ) and he is not the quietest of people!

I wondered if it was mumps?

I was going to say mumps

FlllightAttendant · 01/01/2008 16:40

It might well be.

FlllightAttendant · 01/01/2008 16:41

Get your out of hours GP round, it can be serious in grown men.

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/01/2008 16:42

yes, dh had it as an adult - not good

pinkbubble · 01/01/2008 16:42

Its really odd for him to get this, we have all been to the same places, he hasn't been to work for 2 wks, and non of the DDs have been ill!

I thought mumps or possibly glandular fever?

Iota · 01/01/2008 16:50

glandular fever info

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/01/2008 16:55

I'd get to the doc with him, if it was mumps it can lead to infertility !

pinkbubble · 01/01/2008 17:04

I have just mentioned the GP, and he is not happy to call him out, so will get an appointment tomorrow morning - typical, he has just had the last 2 wks off work for Christmas and he is due to go back tomorrow!

Thought I would balance up with dh getting mumps March 06, ds conceived October 06, so mumps doesn't always affect fertility.

pinkbubble · 03/01/2008 15:49

It wasn't mumps after all, just a nasty viral infection that has knocked him off his feet. He is still off work now (its so unlike him - he does not do illness!)
