What's happened to my lip?

The past week my lip has slowly been getting more painful. It started out with a small dry patch which turned into a sort cut and now I've woken up in agony because its turned into this... (see pic)

I currently have covid so can't pop to pharmacist.

It's a coldsore, haven't you had one before?

No! How do I get rid of it? It's so so painful?

I gave it a squeeze and so much puss came out of it.

I am so sorry that you are to experiencing this sore whilst having covid...I know how much it hurts!
It does look like an outbreak of herpes simplex virus 1 (cold sore) which can be one of the symptoms of covid in some people. The sores usually appear when your immune system is impaired which makes sense since you have covid.
Your GP can prescribe acyclovir to help shorten the length of healing time which is about 7 -10 days. Also there is an acyclovir ointment that you can get at Sainsbury or Boots that will offer you some relief...maybe you can order some online.

Don't squeeze it! They start off liquid filled then go crusty, shrink and disappear.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon Prime so should arrive tomorrow.

Yes don't touch it. These things spread like crazy!

I've managed to get some cold sore cream. Glad I have as it's already making it impossible to eat and drink with how swollen and sore it's made my whole lip go now
