I was diagnosed with intracranial hypertension last october had a lumbar puncture which relieved most of the symptoms but they never went away completely.
Since Christmas the pressure and headaches slowly started coming back.
The last 2/3 weeks have been hell, I have to have an ice pack on my head all the time just to minimise the pain. I can barely be a mother and barely work at the moment.
Saw eye doctor last week diagnosed mild papilledema (slightly worse than when they checked in October) doctor rang neurology and they wanted to see me urgently this week, said they would ring me with appointment. It's now Thursday and still nothing ive rang my neurologists consultant and left a voicemail.
Should I go back to GP again or will this be pointless?

Sorry for how this is written but I'm so tired and have next to no energy. Currently lying on sofa with my ice pack and my never ending headache.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re feeling like this, it’s hellish being in pain. The suffering every day is draining, I’ve had terrible health the last few months and I really do sympathise, it’s hard to get through hours let alone days when things are bad.
Try to think that this too will pass.

You definitely need to phone the GP again to see if he/she can move things along a bit, call and explain to the office staff and perhaps your GP can call you - also explain your current state and lay it on the line that you really need to see someone. I would also keep calling the neurologist and hopefully someone will eventually answer. I despair of the NHS these days. I hope you get somewhere with this quickly.
