I get different readings on n the ear thermometer. I like to take a reading in one ear, then the other and back to the other ear and take the average over the 3. Every time I get different readings. Like it can be
37.6
37.2
37.5

I googled it and it says rectal temperatures are the most accurate. Does anyone here take their temperature this way?

I need an accurate way to take my temperature and I am considering the anal route for more precision.

How often are you taking your temperature and why?

There isnt a huge difference between the values you have given and no I've never used a rectal thermometer

I have a gut condition and I will be prone to inflammation and infections in the gut going forward. I will need to manage this condition. I am hoping daily temperature takings will help me establish a flare more easily because my symptoms can easily be mistaken for period pains and cramps.

Taking your temperature is not the way forward. It varies all the time.
Maybe abdominal girth?
