Ear ache

Just had a bad night with dd suffering from earache. Started about 7pm and by the morning was much better just hurt as she yawned. A few hour later there a small amount of clear fluid (like water) came out the ears. She's been fine since.
Could this have been water in her ear from swimming the day before or should I get it seen too. Hasn't got a cold but did have about a week ago.

worth getting it seen to, may well be water thats come out of her ears, but could possibly be infection, either way it needs checking

Agree. Poor dd, I used to have horrendous ear ache as a child (glue ear) and it's a real phobia of mine now. Definitely give NHS Direct a call, or your GP's out of hours service.
