projectile vomiting after feed..what's wrong?

My dd threw up all his feed this morning I then tried to feed her after..wouldn't drink it so started a fresh bottle only took 4oz (she's 16 weeks) but seemed to struggle I think she was tired..anyway few mins later thew up some more this time it was more cottage cheesy. Is this normal she seems ok now gone to sleep. Please help!!

She might have a tummy bug. Wait to see if she will take the next feed, and if the same thing happens again, I would get an appt with a GP.
The cottage cheesy look just means the milk has been in her stomach a bit longer.

Projectile vomiting is very scary at the best of times. A doctor once told me that babies were basically one big stomach surrounded by a small body and that therefore many ailments of the body can affect the stomach (because it is such a major part of the baby's anatomy) and that is why they are often sick for no obvious reason. Still, it is continues, get it checked out.

Had my ds to the doc a few times with this - he is 5 months now and still throws up everything. the doc said to me it could be reflux but if its really really projectile then to take him straight back. I'd go see the doc just to put your mind at ease - or call your hv if she is a good help to you
