Painful part on side of head

I've been having vertigo this past week in a morning, I realised it is when I turn onto my right side so if I avoid that I am okay. Today I forgot when my DC climbed in bed and rolled onto that side, room started spinning but also I noticed a tender part on the right side of my head, above my ears, if I press the side of my head it hurts. Anyone know if I should call my GP about this? I don't know if I'd be wasting their time. I don't even know if both things are linked, it's the painful part on my head that's caused me most concern

You are not wasting their time

You will most likely have a telephone consultation, describe it all to the Dr and let them assess if you need to be seen

Thanks I know you're right it just seems like GP appointments are harder to get now and are saved for the most important matters. I think I will call up Monday morning

Yes see gp. I’ve got a sore cheek/temple also. Dr diagnosed Bell’s palsy so I’ve just had 10 days of steroids. Still sore after treatment so I intend to go back. Could be something minor. Any vertigo I’ve had went away after a few weeks but can be disconcerting. But best to rule out anything sinister otherwise you’ll lose sleep probably needlessly
