Bad headaches!

I used to suffer from Migraines really badly - haven't had one in a long time. These headaches are a bit like those. They are at the base of my skull, where my neck and head meet, and across the front in a tight band. I have also been getting really bad aura, which used to accompany a migraine. The Optician told me that the arua without migraine is a "classic occular migraine". The light hurts my eyes and my head is so heavy and sore. Nothing seems to help - even usual Migraine medication.
I've also been getting a lot of stomach problems feeling like I'm going to be sick.

I do ahve Fibromyalgia, and bad headaches can be a symptom of that, but I don't have a lfare up of the Fibro at the minute.
I have one of those headaches now, and the patterns in front of my left eye. I need to go to work today as well, and am currently wearing sunglasses.

I have occular migraines - the aura in front of my eyes but fortunately no headache. I can't really do much when I get one, as my vision is disturbed too much. The only way I can get rid of it is by going to sleep ( I find they are are symptom of tiredness).

I would be surprised if you are well enough to go to work.....is there any way you can take some time off?

I have had 2 days off since I started there, and got an "offical warning" for being off the second time.
I am tired have worked through since the 21st december, with onlyChristmas Day off. They very kindly gave me tomorrow off "so you can go to Scotland for New year", but have me working again on 2nd!.

I have been feeling crappy thoguh recently with the headaches and also the stomach problems, I tend to assume everythign is connected to the Fibro, when it might not be.

An official warning for being off sick for the second time? That sounds weird and unreasonable. Perhaps you need to get a doctor's note.

Never had a lot of luck with migraleve myself but it's worth a try. Really you need to get some rest. Good luck.

I've never tried Migraleve either, I used to get prescription meds for migraines in the past.
need to try something though if I'm going to get through the day.
I mentioned to teh doctor at teh pain clinic that I sometimes get headaches and he took me off all my Fibro meds becasue "the codein is causing the headahces which in turn causes the flare ups". At the time I wasn't getting headaches very often. Is there anything else I can get over the counter that will do?

If I were you I would ask to speak to the pharmacist - although don't go to Boots (find them crap and intrusive and not willing to let you buy the strongest thing you can!).
