Two weeks ds2 cam down with an awful tummy bug, followed promptly by the rest of the family.

Now he has it again! Even worse he is just recovering from croup. Poor lad. My tummy feels a bit dodgy too

we had that about a month ago. it was horrible, all back to normal then back to square one again.

hope he get's better soon.

Wallace · 30/12/2007 18:53

thanks.

I'm debating whether to have a cup of tea. If I don't feel like tea it is a bad sign. I'm trying to convince myself that I just feel slightly queasy because of the smell of sick...

it was a horrible bug, seemed to put you off food for ages.

get some fresh air and a nice cuppa if you can.

Wallace · 31/12/2007 16:43

thanks. I have been feeling a bit dodgy managing to eat and drink so I think I'll be fine. Ds2 has finally stopped being sick.

Meant to ask did all of you get it again second-time round?

I know what you mean about putting you off food for ages. Poor ds2 still hadn't got his appetite back from the first time round. For the first time in his life he actually looks frail.

Us too. We all had it turn on 14th-20th Dec and today DS2 started again. Now DS1 feels queasy and I think we are going round again.
Just how we wanted to startthe new year!

Wallace · 01/01/2008 07:11

Oh no! Poor you, you have my sympathy.

Those who've had it second time around - how long did it last?

DS and I had it about 6 weeks ago, and it really knocked him out for a week.

He started it again 4o'clock this morning, and has vommed 4 times since then and is looking really pale, but feels less dreadful than the first time.

I'm supposed to be taking him to Prague tomorrow for 2 days for his 13th birthday. Been saving and looking forward to it for ages.

Please tell me it only lasts 24 hours second time! P L E A S E

Oh crikey. We had it about 4 weeks ago. I feel queasy today. I cannot face it again.

Does it always come back? Has anyone not had it twice?

Wallace · 01/01/2008 19:20

Doesn't usually come back IME. Still only ds2 has got it again, maybe because he is so run down. Was awfully sick again this evening. Poor lad has lost about 1.5/2kg

nutcracker · 01/01/2008 19:22

Oh good god, please don't let mine come back, I still haven't quite recovered from the last time.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 01/01/2008 19:29

Poor DH has got this. Is there any chance me and 6mo dd are going to get away unscathed?

nutcracker · 01/01/2008 19:34

You might not get it. I had it and yet Dd1 and Dd2 and my mum escaped it. Ds was a bit sick but nothing major.

3 days after I had it, both of my brothers and their girlfriends visited and then the next day one brother, went down with it, and the other brothers gf, was very odd.

FlllightAttendant · 01/01/2008 20:25

I still feel strange. Am hoping it is not the same thing again.
Ds seems fine.

When we had it before, it was Ds, really bad, all night and so on, and then I felt ill while he was being ill, but only for 24hrs, and then mum had it a couple of days later - she had been helping us so I felt really guilty. Dad didn't get it from her though.
Baby has been fine throughout!!!

Hope your ds is better soon, Wallace x

Flllightattendant · 02/01/2008 15:04

hiya Wallace, I think I'm ok [fingers crossed] and very glad that your little chap is managing to drink a bit

Wallace · 02/01/2008 18:47

Glad you haven't been struck down

Ds2 seems to have turned the corner [fingers crossed] and even had a little bit to eat at supper time.
