Six nights ago, I was in bed when I felt a sharp prickle on my inner thigh under the duvet. I turned the light on and checked thinking it might be a spider bite but couldn't find anything. The next morning in the same spot, I found a small line of red blisters with a raised red halo around them and they were very itchy.
I showed my DH who said it was probably nothing but by Sunday night I was really worried as it just looked very strange to me.
From google images I narrowed it back into down to shingles or scabies which my DH laughed at but I booked myself a doctor's appointment. Meanwhile that night my husband came out in a full body rash of raised red bumps and insufferable itching. He was in agony from it! We also have a six month old daughter but she has so shown no signs of any symptoms.
When we went to the doctor he said he didn't know what it was and said he thought our symptoms were just coincidence and that mine was a skin infection and my DH was having an allergic reaction.
Now we both have all over itching although mine is very minor compared to my husbands and he is still covered almost head to toe (no face) in the angry red rash. I still have just the little red line of blistery things, nothing else, HOWEVER

For the last 2/3 months, I have been getting a reaction to a silver bangle my MIL gave me and basically a red angry itchy sore appears under it on my wrist - I assumed just a reaction to wearing it every day and in the shower etc but now I'm reading that scabies starts on the hands! Could I have had it for 2/3 months and it's only just become serious now and started infecting everyone once this little blister line on my leg came along??
Anyway we've all had such different reactions I'm not so sure what it is now.
Even so, I'm in the throes of hot washing every item of clothing and fabric in the flat and we plan to do a lotion to kill whatever it is tonight.
Has anyone's family experienced a similar reaction to scabies where you all are showing at different times and different ways?
I've attached the pic of the original mystery line on my leg. The lighter less angry looking one was a few days ago and the darker one is today.
Please someone shed some light, we feel so gross!
