Between the shoulderblades. Have taken 3 200mg neurofens for pain relief and can still feel it but not too bad. last time they wore off, it was worse than this morning.

what else can I do?

Ouch, I get fierce muscle spasms since a car crash a couple of years ago.

I find that heat packs help to reduce the tension a bit. Those stick on self-warming patches are especially good, as they last up to 12 hours (so would help overnight).

If you're OK to take Syndol, this contains a muscle relaxant and painkiller. Be warned though, it will make you feel drowsy and isn't suitable if this is going to be a problem (ie, if you've got to drive).

If your pain persists, your G.P. can prescribe stronger muscle relaxants.
