I recently had one of these done due to a irregular and heavy couple of periods which my doctor initally thought may be a early miscarriage. Bascially, the doc told me the results of the tests were negative and that there was no signs of disease or miscarriage. Feeling relieved I left the surgery but am now wondering what kind of diseases they would have been checked for. She never mentioned this to me at my initial visit.
Her advise was to see how my periods were in the next couple of months and if it continued maybe consider going on the pill.
Would a blood test show signs of disease? Having a slight panic attack now as worried that maybe I should have be referred for further investigation or were the blood tests enough.
I had a clear smear test 5 months ago so surely thats still ok.
