2 week referral, offered telephone appointment?

GP wants to investigate possible sarcoma in DH’s shoulder.... 2 week referral route... the hospital clinic has given him a telephone appointment, without any results of any tests and no physical examination (apart from GP). GP has done blood test but that’s all. Does this sound right? Is this Covid-related pressures or just normal? Just a bit worried, staying away from Dr Google. Thanks so much. X

It's ridiculous. At our surgery we have opened to all face to face appointments...screened for covid by staff. Some people still want telephone but they need examined so it's a no!!! Hospitals need to get back to seeing people too. I am very tired with this second rate health service we are offering.
