Anyone had any luck with this? How did you find the therapist?

Hi foofi. We used something very similar for our ds1 - 11 at the time for excessive worry and a touch of OCD. I got a referal from the gp to the health visitor who referred us to a lovely adolescent mental health nurse.
That sounds like it took ages but was actually about 10 days from seeing GP to meeting the nurse!
He had 8 weekly sessions and was really different afterwards. Much calmer and in control .
He had a relapse just before Christmas but we went back over the techniques she taught him (he did worksheets and homework which we kept) and he has calmed down again.
It has been great for him (and us). As it was via GP it was on the NHS, that might depend on your area but we were lucky I guess.

Thanks for that Dusty - it sounds marvellous.

I was wondering about finding someone privately, as then it won't be on her medical records. Anyone done it this way?
