had my op last week. was so terrified but now its over. hurrah! one thing thats worrying me is the general anasthetic - has anyone had after effects? i had a really bad panic attack today and keep bursting in to tears. Is this normal? has anyone else had this?

Haven't had it personally but yes anaesthetic can do that to you & make you feel a bit "spaced -out" for a while. Take it easy & drink lots of fluids to help get the gas out of your system. It can take at least a few weeks to clear completely.

HTH -you are not cracking up- take it steady!!
