Pelvic pain, feel a wreck and travelling tomorrow

I’ve had a couple of uterine biopsies recently for fertility purposes and they picked up an infection. I went on one round of antibiotics, to which, it turns out, the infection is fully resistant. Second round of ‘last resort’ very powerful antibiotics, and my doctor has recommended surgery to remove a diverticulum (c section scar) which might be aggravating the infection. I got my period yesterday. I normally get really awful periods but this one is awful in a different way. I’m barely bleeding by day 2 but I feel really sore in my cervix and uterus, rather than the usual deep ache. My tummy is enormously swollen and I feel awful. My tummy was swollen for a week before and I never usually bloat on my periods. Yesterday I felt really nauseous. No fever, but throbbing head and I feel run down. I have sharp pains peeing, and had diarrhoea, though that's stopped now. I’ve been in bed all evening. Has anyone experienced this post-biopsy, or post-antibiotics, or post-uterine infection? The second biopsy was excruciating as he had real trouble getting past the internal scar and I’m worried he’s caused some damage (though he’s a very experienced consultant gynae and surgeon). I’m worried the infection may have worsened. To top it all I need to travel across Europe tomorrow and on to London to have the op! My doctor is on holiday and can’t easily be reached. Has anyone had similar swelling, nausea and soreness? This isn’t the usual period pain.

Get yourself checked via 111, just to be on the safe side.

I saw a GP this morning she wasn't much help! I feel so swollen but have to travel now. Hopefully i can get it checked out by a gynae when I arrive in London. I'm just feeling utterly miserable and in pain and uncomfortable Sad. Swollen and waddling like I'm 6 months pregnant!
