How many fruits and vegetables do you eat a day?

My general amount per day is:

2 x tangerines
1 x apple
1 x fresh vegetable soup for lunch
In the evenings I try to have a portion of frozen veg with every meal, although I need to do this more often.
1 x vitamin C drink every morning
1 x vitamin d tablet every morning

Do you feel like you have to force yourself to eat enough portions for your 5 a day? Just interested to see how other people have fruit and veg in their diets 😊

It depends. A super healthy day goes like this:

1 cup Blueberries and rasberries with my oatmeal
salad with roasted veggies and bread with humus for lunch
smoothie made with banana and berries
apple
salad with veggies egg omlette

Today went like this:

Freshly made carrot apple ginger juice, egg omeltte with small salad
tuna baguette w tomato and lettuce
small bowl of grapes
1 apple
peanut butter and jam sandwich, cheese, cashews

I want to eat more fruits and veggies, but I am just getting over covid and during covid I did not want salad etc. I only felt like eating toast or pasta etc. I added some cooked veg and some fruit here and there, but no where near what I should eat.

I really struggle with this. I have a banana every morning, sometimes a smoothie with banana and strawberries. I have veg with my evening meal. Sometimes I have a ham and salad sandwich for lunch. I eat grapes after my evening meal. I'm going to try making vegetable soup for lunch so that I get more.

I don't think you need to take a vitamin C tablet since you're eating tangerines. Your body can only absorb a certain amount of vitamin C and anything after that is pointless.

I normally have one or two pieces of fruit and two portions of veg a day. So I should squeeze in another portion of veg a day really.

Most days

Fresh fruit salad for breakfast
I tend to snack on fruit during the day, especially at night rather than sweets or snacks

As for veg, I'm not so good and cook with it. Today we had shepherds pie and any available veg gets chucked in there

Do baked beans count?

I don't usually count/force myself.
Generally some fruit like banana or berries with breakfast.
Salad and maybe some fruit for lunch
Sometimes a piece of fruit as a snack
A couple of veggies with dinner

I have:
-mixed berries every morning
-salad or vegetable soup for lunch
-always have at least 3 or 4 veg with dinner. I’m low carb so will have cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc instead of rice/potatoes
