dd 6 use to get bad coughs with shortness of breath when she was younger each time she had a colds. Doctor gave her ventolin helped a bit then she was put on becotide that worked wonders.
She has not had any problems for 2 years. She got this cough nearly 2 weeks and suddenly just got worst in the last few days. Says she feel puffed out easy and after she coughs.
Do I just put her back on the becotide (also use it myself) or do you think I should take her to the doctor.

Take her to the doc's. Every label for prescription drugs give the warning 'do not give to anyone else even if the symptoms appear the same' for a reason. DS2 was like that and it was because of pneumonia.

Off to the docs with her. Could be bronchitis.

No sign of any illness bright cheer full of beans. One sign of illness in her is going off her food and she's eating like a horse as normal.

I had a persistent cough once that didn't improve after a few weeks. I didn't feel ill, still went to work etc. A friend suggested the gp as they'd noticed I kept coughing. Gp said bronchitis and prescribed ABs plus offerred a sick-note for a fortnight I took the ABs but felt I didn't need the time off. Cough cleared in a couple of days.

take her to the docs

may be too late for preventor inhaler (becatide)

she probably has chest infection ,needs AB's and possibly steroids

gave her some ventolin was getting breathless and she's not coughing so much. Will try and get her to the doctor and get it checked in the morning.
